The Golden State Warriors fell to the San Antonio Spurs in the Saturday night game against the Spurs 126-113. The Spurs led for almost the entirety of the game with the lead getting cut down to 21 points in the third quarter. The Spurs shot a season best 51.5 percent from the three point range and they had a total of five different players to have 17 plus points in the game and it led off with Keldon Johnson 22 points with eleven rebounds off the bench.

Klay Thompson tonight scored a game high 27 points in the loss to the Spurs while for Kuminga he scored 25 points for them. Brandin Podziemski filled the stat sheet in a different way by recording only eight points with seven assists and six rebounds. 

New Starting Five

Since Stephen Curry is injured the Warriors have to make a new starting five adding Chris Paul his 12th start of the season and had ten points and with a team high nine assists.

Trayce Jackson-Davis also got the start, his third one of the season and his first start since January 2nd of this year. Jackson-Davis had eleven points, six rebounds and two alley-oop slam downs.

Klay Thompson leads offense

After scoring 25 points on Thursday, Klay Thompson once again was the top scorer for the Warriors this time Thompson had 27 points. Thompson scored eight points in the first frame including a buzzer beater to end the first quarter.

Thompson finished the night eight for 16 from the field and was five for ten in the three point line and was perfect making all six of his free throws.

The Warriors will not be waiting that long to meet up with the San Antonio Spurs this time they will travel to San Antonio to play them on Monday night.
