Monday 4/1/24 – Parx Race 6
It may be April Fool’s Day, but I am not going to fool you here. We are finally heading back to Parx on this Monday as we get older fillies and mares going six furlongs in todays’ sixth race. Post time for today’s QPW is for approximately 2:59 pm Eastern time.
The favorite draws the rail, and that is Denali Rae (#1, 2/1 ML) and she won’t be that far behind the leaders and should be there in the end. But she is only 2 for 33 lifetime.
The 2 Valiant Majesty (4/1 ML) just missed about 5 weeks ago going seven furlongs in a claiming event here and has been going for the lead since we hit 2024. She still try to do that, but she should have company on the front end with the 6 Arlyne’s Crown (6/1 ML) next to her was they go down the backstretch. She was very game last time out and lost by a nose going six and a half furlongs.
The 4 Ayeartoremember (3/1 ML) returns to sprinting after winning while going two turns last time out. She did win back in February and could have a nice set up here if the speed duel that I expect happens.
The 7 Eighty Eight Keys (6/1 ML) has closed well the last three times out in claiming company. Now she faces optional claimers here. She appears to be closing here today to get a piece of the prize.
I think we are going to see the horses on the front end duel themselves into submission, and Ayeartoremember will edge out Eighty Eight Keys at the finish. I’ll call this 4-7-1-2 and my play is $20 to win on the 4. Good luck everyone!
