Boca Raton, FL.- Breaking News: Atlantic High’s 3-Star WR Teddy Hoffmann flips his commitment from App. State to FAU!
Hoffmann announced his commitment earlier this evening (October 14) via his social media accounts.
Hoffmann, a 6 foot 2, 3-Star recruit (Via Rivals.com), has been off to a hot start during the first half of his senior season. Through the first 6 games of the 2024-25 season, Teddy’s recorded 556 receiving yards and 9 scores, leading the Eagles to a 5-1 record.
As previously stated, Teddy Hoffmann flipped his verbal commitment from Appalachian St. to Florida Atlantic. Hoffmann’s recieved 12 Division I FBS offers, and the Mountaineers offered him on January 31. Following an Official Visit to Boone, NC. over the summer, Hoffmann announced his verbal commitment on June 14, 2024.
After his dominant start to the season, Florida Atlantic swooped into the mix, where the Owls offered Hoffmann on September 28. Following his Official Visit to Boca Raton this past weekend (October 11-13), Hoffmann pledged his commitment to FAU.
Teddy Hoffmann becomes the 23rd commit in the Owls 2025 recruiting class, and the 3rd highest graded prospect in the class (per 24/7). The addition of Hoffmann boosts FAU’s recruiting class to the 68th ranked class in the country (per the 24/7 Composite).
So what is FAU getting out of Hoffman?
For starters, the Owls just secured a commitment from one of the top prospects in South Florida. Hoffmann provides the potential of making an immediate impact at FAU. Teddy’s ability to find gaps in defenses and play himself open is unmatched. When you break down this kid’s film it’s evidently clear that: Teddy Hoffmann is ALWAYS open.
This season, Florida Atlantic has desperately needed a receiver to step up as an alpha target, the way LaJohntay Wester was for them in 2023. Given opportunity, Teddy Hoffmann should make a strong case for that role very early into his collegiate career.
Welcome to Paradise Teddy!
