Leclerc fastest in second practice

Charles Leclerc set the fastest lap in free practice two to end day one of the race weekend in Melbourne at the Albert Park Circuit. Leclerc was ahead of Max Verstappen and his teammate Carlos Sainz. 

It was a busy start for the beginning of the session at 1600 local time and the weather was sunny out there was only two cars who didn’t go out when all the other drivers went out and one of which was Max Verstappen where he faced a delay to when he started running the car do to fixing his floor of the RB20 when first practice happen he got some damage from it.

The other driver who didn’t take part of the second practice was the Williams of Alex Albon he was forced to sit out for the whole session due to his car being damaged during the first practice and the team was assess the damage of the car to see what need to be done to fix it for free practice three, qualifying and for the race.

During the session when the fast laps came in it was on the soft tyre compound Charles Leclerc set the time to beat at a one minute and 17.277 seconds this time put him ahead of Max Verstappen by 0.381 seconds who came out late and Verstappen joined with 25 minutes and he found himself out of sync.

Sainz, who was out last week and now back in the car, finds himself in the third slot. Both Aston Martin cars after the session are 4th and 5th and leading the way of them are Lance Stroll then his teammate Fernando Alsonso rounding out the top five.

The Haas of Kevin Magnussen was the slowest during the second practice session making him almost two seconds behind from Charles Leclerc time. His exact time behind was +1.998s from Leclerc. Magnussen was 0.441 seconds off of the second slowest car during the session of the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.
