FAU came into the series opener against Rice on Friday hoping to cover some ground in the conference standings. With Rice a game behind them, a series opening win would’ve been big for their momentum throughout the rest of the series. FAU opened up their series at home against UAB Friday night, hoping to get back in the win column following a midweek loss against Florida in which the Owls came up short 10-8. UAB came into game one at the bottom of the AAC standings, and looked to put together a win with Blayze Berry on the mound.

A Seven Run Ninth Inning Allows Tulane To Take Series vs. FAU

FAU entered the game three rubber match against Tulane looking to take their first series since their three game set against Memphis. The Owls bats got off to a good start early, and backed up the Owls pitching staff through the first half of the game. A late rally from Tulane however, would allow the Green Wave to overtake the Owls lead and take the series finale for the series win.

Historic Start From C.J. Williams Gives FAU 5-0 Win In Tulane Series Opener

After losing three straight games on their last road trip, FAU was finally back home to play some conference baseball. The Tulane Green Wave came into Boca Raton looking to improve upon their 5-7 AAC conference record. C.J. Williams and the Owls would have other plans for Tulane, and after a historic start from Williams, the Owls would’ve only needed one run to win the game, and turned it into five for a shutout series opening win.
