Florida Atlantic women’s soccer checked into tonight’s action hopeful to pull off an upset against Southeastern Conference opponent Alabama, and with it their first victory of the season.

FAU Men’s Basketball has added 2 opponents to their 2024 schedule, a P4 road matchup, and a home matchup against a Non-NCAA opponent, which will be an early season opportunity for FAU fans to see their squad.

Florida Atlantic could not stand the heat as they have their first loss of the season to Omaha. As a heat index reaching triple digits raced into the Omaha area, the game between the Owls and the Mavericks had to be pushed back to 8:00 PM EDT.
FAU has been back in action at Schmidt Practice fields for 2 days following their final scrimmage of fall camp and the Owls are now headed into the Mock game week in which they will go through the same procedures as they will prior to Michigan State.
Cam Fancher has officially taken the reins at quarterback for the FAU Owls and it has been a fast rise for him from transfer, to captain, and now leader of the offense.
The Owls got their leader early in the offseason on December 22nd, and he has quickly earned the trust of the coaches and players around him, with FAU Coach Tom Herman noting his success in the spring, summer, and fall camp, while also noticing the little things he does outside of football to earn the trust of those around him.
The fast rise for him is no surprise to Cam’s beacon of support, which features his Mom April, Dad Jermaine, Step-Dad Tyrone Hogan, and siblings Cierra, Cayden, Cali, and Isaiah, who have seen him grow up into the leader he is both on and off the field, and it’s that leadership, combined with his family’s support which have led him to where he is today.
