The second chapter of FAUs season has come to an end, as following non-conference and conference play the Owls and the rest of the NCAA pivot to tourney time. Before the big dance however, the Owls have the opportunity to play in the AAC tournament and have the second overall seed which means a double-bye, and a few days of rest and preparation before their first matchup on Friday.
After dropping game two at FIU, the Owls came in determined to take the series finale. FAU’s offense looked to come alive as FIU shut-out the Owls lineup after the first inning of game two. The Owls bats would hit for a season high 24 runs against the Panthers in the rubber match, and take the series two games to one.
