Tom Herman took to the podium during the bye week on Tuesday afternoon, feeling a bit rejuvenated following FAU’s 41-10 victory over Wagner.
The Owls took the short ride to Coral Gables to face the Miami Hurricanes (4-5-3) for the second time this season. The teams did not plan on facing each other again this season, but both needed an extra opponent due to each having canceled matches, so came this match. The Hurricanes dominant performance led to a 1-0 victory over FAU.
Florida Atlantic (pictured above, Angelina LaBelle) traveled to the City of Brotherly Love for their first of two matches against AAC foe Temple (7-9) (1-3). The third matchup of the Owls saw Temple gaining the victory after sweeping Florida Atlantic to gain first AAC victory.
FAU comes into week 7 with fresh legs off the bye, but coming into town is a tough AAC opponent in North Texas, who will give the Owls one of their biggest tests through the air so far this season.
Florida Atlantic traveled to Tulsa in search of their first conference win of the season. The win must wait for FAU as a late penalty kick goal gave the Golden Hurricanes (2-7-1) (1-2) their first conference win and second win of the year instead.
