Dribble Godz stun Pistons in NBA 2K League 3v3 playoffs

Community team Dribble Godz pulled off an upset on Wednesday as the NBA 2K League’s 3v3 playoffs began in Washington, beating fifth-seeded Pistons GT 3-2 in the first round.

Kenneth Grant “KennyZeus” Strombeck averaged 10 points and three assists for Dribble Godz, who advance to oppose T-Wolves Gaming on Thursday. The T-Wolves handled Bucks Gaming 3-1 on Wednesday.

The only other community team in action alongside the NBA 2K League clubs split its Wednesday matches in the double-elimination event. Rim Runners fell 3-1 to Celtics Crossover Gaming but bounced back to oust Knicks Gaming 3-0 in the first round of the losers bracket.

In the other opening-round matches, NetsGC topped Grizz Gaming 3-1, Heat Check Gaming edged 76ers GC 3-2, and the Gen.G Tigers slipped past Knicks Gaming 3-2.

One other losers-bracket match was held, and the Bucks eliminated the Pistons 3-1.

The top two seeds, No. 1 Lakers Gaming and No. 2 Magic Gaming, received first-round byes.
