Kings complete season sweep of Jazz

Harrison Barnes and Keegan Murray combined for 49 points, DeAaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis registered double-doubles and the Sacramento Kings broke a third-quarter tie with a 15-0 flurry that produced a run-away, 127-106 victory over the Utah Jazz on Sunday night.

Murray finished with a game-high 25 points and Barnes had 24 points for the Kings (43-31), who were playing for the first time since learning that supersub Malik Monk would be lost for the rest of the regular season with a sprained right MCL.

Brice Sensabaugh had a season-high 22 points and Collin Sexton also totaled 22 for Utah (29-46), which lost its ninth straight.

Led by Sexton’s 11 points and Sensabaugh’s 10, the Jazz, down by as many as 10 at one point, hung within 56-52 at halftime before pulling into a 58-all tie in the first minute of the third period on a Sensabaugh 3-pointer.

But the Kings seized control of the game for good later in the period as Barnes accounted for 16 points — 12 on 3-pointers — and Murray five as Sacramento outscored Utah 39-25.

Sacramento led by as many as 21 before quarter’s end and coasted home to complete a 3-0 season-series sweep.

Barnes and Murray each connected on five 3-pointers and Trey Lyles nailed three for the Kings, who made 20 of their 40 shots (50 percent) from beyond the arc and 53.6 percent overall.

Fox’s double-double consisted of 24 points and a game-high 12 assists to go with six rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Sabonis finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Lyles also scored in double figures with 11.

Sensabaugh made five 3-pointers for the Jazz, who were outscored 60-48 from beyond the arc.

Taylor Hendricks, another rookie starter for Utah, also put up a season-high point total with 18, while Keyonte George also logged 18.

Kris Dunn came off the Jazz bench to lead the team in assists with seven, while Walker Kessler collected a team-high eight rebounds to complement six points and three blocks.
