Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen exited Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the third quarter due to a right ankle injury.
Allen, who was questionable to return, rolled his ankle on Minnesota center/forward Karl-Anthony Towns’ foot while trying to make a move toward the basket. He left with 4:44 left in the third.
Before his departure, Allen had four points — all from free throws — in 25 minutes of action. He missed all three of his field-goal attempts but did chip in five rebounds and two assists.
Allen, 28, averaged a career-high 13.5 points across 75 games (74 starts) during the regular season.
Saturday’s game was the opener of Phoenix’s first-round Western Conference playoff series with the Timberwolves.
