72 points in the first half for Warriors
The Warriors tonight scored their most points and tied a previous record they had. Some of the key stats from this game were six players for the Warriors who had hit a 3-pointer in the first quarter. They also had a chance to lead up to 24 points in the second quarter. Andrew Wiggins had 18 points and was seven for ten on shooting during the first half. Klay Thompson is the second highest scorer in the first half. Thompson had 17 points on 5-for-9 from the field. The last key player in the first half was Stephen Curry who had 16 points.
Draymond Green has returned
Draymond Green is back after serving a five game suspension from the time he got into with the Timberwolves and choking out Rudy Gobert. This was Green’s first game and he had a stat line of eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 33 minutes. Which isn’t bad for a first game. Looks like Green learned a lesson not to choke any players. Green was also fined 25 thousand dollars.
Moody lights out in the fourth quarter
Moses Moody scored 11 of the Warriors’ first 12 points in the fourth quarter on a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and hit three 3-pointers over that span. Moody was the team’s leading scorer off the bench for tonight’s game.
Two injuries for the Warriors
The Warriors sadly couldn’t escape the injury bug in this game and they lost Gary Payton II and Chris Paul. Paul and Payton II both got knee injuries. Paul left the first quarter. Payton II left late in the third quarter.
Next for the WarriorsThe Warriors next game will be against the Los Angeles Clippers and they have a giveaway that night and get a commemorative patch to honor the league’s longest-tenured trio. The longest tenured trio I am talking about is Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
