Warriors 134 – Hawks 112
First game in over a week
The Warriors are playing their first game since the passing of their assistant coach Dejan Milojević. Milojević who sadly passed away last week at the young age of 46. The Warriors ended up beating the Hawks 134 to 112. This game marks a season high for a home game.
Warriors had season high at home
Even though the Warriors missed a week the Warriors didn’t show any signs of slowing down The Warriors scored 38 points in the first quarter all season. Klay Thompson had ten points in the quarter and led the team in the first quarter. Stephen Curry had eight points during the first quarter. Jonathan Kuminga scored seven points in the quarter. Thompson, Curry, Kuminga combined for 25 points of the 38 in the first quarter. Thompson made three of the three pointers in the first quarter.
Win 400 for Curry, Thompson and Green Trio
The trio have reached number 400 wins and became 13th all time for trios in NBA history. The trio is 400-143 in the regular season. They have now won a combined regular season and playoffs and have 500 wins.
500th straight sellout
Wednesday for the Warriors marked the 500th consecutive sell out games. Ranked sixth all time in NBA history selling out games this sellout is also longest in franchise history. This is the third-longest active streak league wide, only trailing the Dallas Mavericks (940) and Miami Heat (576). This streak began on December 18th 2012 against the New Orleans Hornets of who is now the New Orleans Pelicans at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Out of the 500 sellouts 343 happen at Oracle Arena and the last 157 games happen at their new home the Chase Center.
