Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis died at age 35.

Davis was found dead Monday morning at a home owned by his grandmother in Southwest Ranches, Fla., according to the Davie (Fla.) Police Department.

No foul play was involved, according to the police report, with the investigation remaining active

Davis played 10 NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2009-11), Indianapolis Colts (2012-17) and Buffalo Bills (2018).

Davis earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections with the Colts in 2014 and 2015 and finished his career with 22 interceptions, 97 passes defensed and 395 tackles.

“Extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Vontae Davis,” Colts owner Jim Irsay posted on X. “A great guy, teammate, player. My prayers to Vontae’s family.”

The Dolphins drafted Davis in the first round (25th overall) in 2009 out of Illinois. His older brother is longtime NFL tight end Vernon Davis.

Davis is remembered for announcing his retirement in the middle of a Week 2 game during the 2018 season between his Bills and the Los Angeles Chargers.
