Late goal in first period
Both teams had ten plus shots on goal during this first period. The Avalanche had eleven shots on goal with one being made. This goal the Avalanche scored a power play goal and was scored by Valeri Nichushkin who recorded a 21st goal of the season and grabbing the assists for the Avalanche goal Mikko Rantanen who recorded his 31st assist of the season and his first of two in the game. The other Avalanche player grabbing an assist in this goal was Jonathan Drouin who recorded his 13th assist of the season. The time of the goal was at 19 minutes and 46 seconds. This goal for Nichushkin was the first of two goals of the season.
Vegas still can not score
The Golden Knights couldn’t score a goal with five shots on goal in the second period. But the Colorado Avalanche did get another goal on the board and this goal was scored by Valeri Nichushkin who got a goal in the first period.
