Five Player Prop Bets for the September 3rd MLB Slate

Washington Nationals at Miami Marlins

Patrick Corbin (4-12) vs. Max Meyer (3-4)

Nick Fortes Over 0.5 Hits

The matchup on the mound favors Nick Fortes to get a hit tonight against Washington left hander Patrick Corbin. In seven at bats against Corbin, Fortes has three hits and two RBI for a .429 batting average. Coming off of a three hit game against San Francisco, Fortes looks to stay hot against one of the more favorable pitchers in the league to get a hit against.

Boston Red Sox at New York Mets

Kutter Crawford (8-12) vs. David Peterson (8-1)

Rafeal Devers Over 1.5 Total Bases

Red Sox superstar Rafael Devers has been in a bit of a slump recently. He has one hit the last seven days, but can look to turn it around today against a pitcher he performs well against. Devers has a .571 batting average against David Peterson, with four hits and a double. The Red Sox are 4.5 games back of the American League Wildcard, and Devers getting back on track at the plate tonight would be a big help to start chipping away at that deficit.

Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Braves

Kyle Freeland (4-6) vs. Chris Sale (15-3)

Jorge Soler Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

Jorge Soler compared to many of the Braves hitters has faced Kyle Freeland more, and has seen success in that larger sample size. In 13 at bats, Soler has five hits, one home run, and four RBI. The left handed pitcher against right handed hitter matchup here is too favorable for Soler not to take.

Cleveland Guardians at Kansas City Royals

Tanner Bibee (10-6) vs. Brady Singer (9-9)

Andres Gimenez Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Guardians are coming off of a big opening series win against Kansas City, and have now extended the Royals deficit to first place by 4.5 games in the American League Central. Andres Gimenez to record over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI is the pick for this game as the Guardians second baseman has great numbers against Royals starting pitcher Brady Singer. In 25 at bats, Gimenez has a .320 batting average against Singer with eight hits. Gimenez has been hitting the ball well lately with a bit more power, making a prop with RBI or runs scored a better play here.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Chicago Cubs

Paul Skenes (8-2) vs. Kyle Hendricks (3-10)

Pete Crow-Armstrong Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

The Cubs are finally seeing Pete Crow-Armstrong start to break out at the plate. The defense and speed on the basepaths has always been there, but the bat breaking out eases the minds of many Cubs fans. In August PCA hit for a .314 batting average and .933 OPS, and has been great in September to start as well. Against Paul Skenes today, the matchup of the flamethrowing National League All Star starter and the young breakout center fielder should be must watch baseball.
